 PRESIDENT'S NOTE
Hello and welcome to the December edition of WomensBusiness.Info. On behalf of the staff and Board of Directors of the Women’s Business Development Center we wish you a very blessed holiday season. As 2007 comes to a close we would like to formally thank our sponsors and supporters. Their continued support enables us to provide our members with programs and activities that ensure business growth and development.
Please take a few minutes to read through the newsletter. Be sure to review the page about our “Pour at Four, Books and More” book club meetings hosted by WBE Ambassadors Margarita Gonzalez and Terri Hall in Miami and Tampa respectively. Lynn Griffith generously donated copies of the book we are reading: I Don’t Know How She Does It. It’s not too late to join the book club… call the office for more information.
Our holiday party was hosted by Lynn Griffith of Welcome Florida as well as WBEs Terri Hall of Doubletake Studios and Margarita Gonzalez of AccuBANKER. Welcome Florida’s office and warehouse were transformed by her staff to include outdoor seating as well as indoor “rooms” complete with fireplaces and cozy chairs. Thanks to the generosity of our members we collected over 200 items of clothing, shoes and accessories for Suited for Success. A good time was had by all and we were even able to introduce WBEs to corporate members in attendance.
Here’s to a Happy and Successful 2007! The WBDC/Florida Affiliate of WBENC staff and I are in awe of you and your accomplishments. We wish you continued success and may all your dreams come true.
