Tell us a little bit about Geyen Group South?
Geyen Group South, Inc is located in Tampa, Florida. We service Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and surrounding areas.


Our staff is trained in carpet, hard floor maintenance programs, meaning we clean carpet and hard surfaces. We also clean fabric panels, upholstery and leather furniture.
Many of our customers are on monthly programs. We work with companies to see what frequency of service works best for them, we work with their warranty requirements. All of our clients are businesses, we do not work in the residential market. I have been in this business sector for thirty years, our staff is well trained and very knowledgeable in the industry. Recently we have become a “green company” and have a LEED AP accredited staff member.

What made you go into this business?

A very strong desire.

What has been the worst or the biggest obstacle you’ve faced or had to overcome?

Losing a large account, and clients cutting back on services.

What had been your biggest triumph?

Writing a book and public speaking.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

“What are you waiting for?”

Is there anyone who inspired you and why?

Tina Turner, Martha Stewart, both have overcome huge personal obstacles and have overcome these issues.

What is the best book you ever read and would recommend?

Usually it is the one I am currently reading. I read extensively. Right now I am recommending:
“Outliers” along with “The Black Swan” “Business Stripped Bare” by Richard Branson
“this Child Will Be Great” by Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, And an all time favorite “ The Alchemist”

What is your favorite quote?

What are your goals now and where do you see yourself going?

- Immediate goals – increase sales and keep my staff working
- Attend Tuck School in October, I have applied and am waiting for a response.
- Work with a group of women in the Micro-Finance Industry in Africa. Am planning a visit to Africa in February.
- Partner with a woman-owned business in a foreign country

Connections and Encouragement.  A business source-growth, both in business and personal.
