PRESIDENT'S NOTE

Hello and welcome to the July issue of WomensBusiness.Info. WBENC’s Women In Business 2009 conference in San Francisco was a wonderful success! There were over 2,000 people in attendance.  Both corporate and WBE participants have expressed their appreciation for the workshops, the networking events as well as the contacts made at the conference.

As you all know, our Annual Meeting has gone virtual. Please plan on participating—we have a lot of information about our programs and services as well as short presentations from our corporate and WBE sponsors about their programs and offerings.

Do you know about the Purple Pages, the WBDC's online directory of WBEs?  We showcased the Purple Pages at the WIB conference and the overwhelming response from corporate representatives was that they would use it to look for suppliers and vendors. What the Corporates liked best: ease of use; industry category listings; the ability to click on an ad for a direct link to the company’s website and the ready availability of the directory. Last, but certainly not least, please plan to attend our annual Conference and Business Expo on October 15th and 16th at the Office Depot Conference Center in Boca Raton.
