 PRESIDENT'S NOTE
Hello and welcome to the February issue of WomensBusiness.Info. 2009 is well under way at the WBDC and we have an abundant menu of products and services planned to help our members takle the difficult economic challenges this year brings:
- We start the year off with our new series of financial workshops and online seminars. In February, we have a national event you don't want to miss, an Access to Capital workshop that will be duplicated in cities across the nation. This is our first collaborative event of the year with WIPP (Women Impacting Public Policy). We hope you will join us. Later in March we continue with more workshops that address the financial needs of our WBEs.
- It's not too early to prepare for the WBENC Salute in March. This is a golden opportunity for you to meet and network with national corporate sponsors of WBENC and national WBEs. You can also take advantage of the many resources and workshops being offered. Click here for details.
- As a final note, I would like to extend a special invitation to follow one of our WBEs on her journey to making her business a million dollar company. Emily McHugh is one of the 2009 winners of the Make Mine a Million Contest where she will be given the financial, technical and technological assistance to reach this million dollar goal. We will be documenting her progress every month in our newsletter. Please follow her story along with us.
Savy business women know the importance of investing in your business. Now is the time to really take advantage of your membership and affiliation with the WBDC and WBENC. Let us help you make the most of your certification in these challenging times.
