PRESIDENT'S NOTE
Hello and welcome to the April edition of WomensBusiness.Info. The WBENC Salute to Women Business Stars was a wonderful success. This year’s WBDC Business Star is Christina Fischer of The Fischer Group. Salute events this year incorporated a Summit which included panels, educational workshops and industry meetings designed for women business owners and corporate procurement and supplier diversity professionals. WBENC also announced it’s Top Corporations Awards.
It’s time to start thinking about the WIB 2009 event in San Francisco. Click here for information about special booth rates as well as early registration information. WIB 2009 will include workshops, networking receptions, an expo and matchmaker opportunities. You will hear directly from WBENC about the matchmaker application process. Please call the office if you have any questions. We will also start out “Getting the Most of WIB 2009” and “Making the Pitch at a Matchmaker” on line workshops later this month. Please refer to our calendar for dates and information.
Have you registered for the first of our Financial Workshop Series? "Economic Stimulus Opportunities for WBEs" will feature information about the Economic Stimulus Package and what it means for your business. Expert speakers include: Mr. Don Winstead, Special Advisor to the Governor and a representative from the SBA. RSVP today.
Did you see the ad for the Purple Pages? It’s not too late to sign up—the cost is $250 for a 12 month subscription. Your ad will be promoted nationally to the WBENC network, affiliates, corporate members, media and other supplier diversity contacts.
Happy reading,
