Tell us a little bit about Zoya, Inc..
Zoya,Inc. was incorporated in March of 2001. I am an engineer and inventor.  I have 13 patents and applications. The company owns more than 15 new products. I have manufactured three of my products.  Zoya's Bottle pal: It is a clip to attach to the bottled water to carry on the belt or purse while you are walking or running.  Easy box: It is an organizer for the car or office or the boat or any tight space to hold the CD's, or tissue box or cell phone in the car for easy reach. It connects or attaches or sticks to any suface with Velcro (R) or nail.  Shopping Pal: Is a handle to carry several shopping bag with one hand easily. It makes it easy to carry your shopping bags or groceries from you car to the house or carry the shopping bags around the mall or take them up and down the stairs. it has a compact size which fits in the pocket or purse.


What made you go into this business?
I have always had a lot of ideas and decided to bring them to the market. Sometimes the ideas are simple and many people who see them think "I could have done that!"  I am especially proud when I show a product that I have brought to the market from conception.

What has been the worst or the biggest obstacle you've faced or had to overcome?
My biggest obstacle for now is the marketing of my products.

What has been your biggest triumph?
Bringing concepts from my mind to actual working prototype.

What is the best advice you've ever received?
Believe in yourself and never quit.

Is there anyone who inspired you and why?
My husband is my inspiration with his trust and support and encouragement.


What is the best book you ever read and would recommend?
Siddhartha from Herman Hess.

What is your favorite quote?
Attitude is a little thing that makes a BIG difference.

What are your goals now and where do you see yourself going?
I am in process of finding the right people to work with me in the company to grow my business. My goal for future is to gather some people who have great ideas and together make this company successful. I would like to see my products mass marketed.  I welcome the opportunity to work with others who have ideas and need some technical know-how on how to design their ideas into products.

How has being a member of the WBDC and WBENC helped you?
It has given me a lot of courage and knowledge to continue. Seeing and meeting so many successful women gives me the energy to do better every day.

What do you want to be remembered for?  

I enjoyed the Journey.
